Hundreds of families showed up Saturday for Oakdale's annual Winter Wonderland event at the Oakdale Nature Preserve.
Due to the lack of snow cover, kids will have to wait to try out the park's new sledding hill, but they had plenty else to do at the event, which was sponsored by the Oakdale Business and Professional Association, Platinum Bank, the Maplewood/Oakdale Lions Club, Dunn Bros Coffee and Oakdale Parks and Recreation.
Activities included a candy cane hunt, horse-drawn hayrides, a bonfire with s'mores, a petting zoo and face painting.
