UPDATED: Accident Involving a Motorcycle Jammed 694

Motorcyclist involved in an accident Friday has non-life threatening injuries, according to Minnesota State Patrol.

A motorcycle crash on southbound Interstate 694 caused major traffic delays just before 4 p.m. Friday evening.

Lt. Eric Roeske of the Minnesota State Patrol told Patch that the accident involved a motorcyclist under the bridge on 10th Street North.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, four vehicles were involved in the crash. According to the report, three cars and a motorcycle were moving southbound in the right lane on Interstate 694.  Chu Vang, 55, rear ended motorcyclist Eric Lent, 41.

Both Lent and his motorcycle "came to rest" under Vang's SUV, according to the report. The motorcycle then struck a Volkswagen Jetta, causing the driver, Kari Zins, 47, to run into another car.

Lent suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the report.

Interstate 694 was reopened by 7 p.m., according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's traffic cameras.
