Brief: 'No Solicitors' Signs Do Not Apply to Everyone

Some organizations are exempt from "No Solicitors" signs posted at your home.

The city of Oakdale is reminding residents that some groups are exempt from "No Solicitors" signs at your home.

"No Solicitors" signs do not apply to the following groups: Nonprofit, religious, political and educational organizations.

According to the city, members of a campaign office recently approached a home with a "No Solicitors" sign posted and were told that campaigning was not allowed due to the sign.

What if you put a sign up that says: "No Solicitors - including nonprofit, religious, political and educational organizations."
