Charges: Man with Criminal History Allegedly Hits Ex with Glass, Threatens with Metal Pipe
A Roseville man has been charged for an incident involving an Oakdale woman.
A man who is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and threatening to hit her with a metal pipe has been charged in Washington County District Court.
William Kirk Alexander, 42, of Roseville, has been charged with felony burglary, felony terroristic threats and felony domestic assault for an incident involving an Oakdale woman that occurred on on February 29, 2012.
Acccording to the complaint, an Oakdale woman left her home on February 28, 2012 to go out with a male friend. The woman said her ex-boyfriend, Alexander, had called her, but she did not answer the phone. Then she received a text message that stated, "He's dead," according to the criminal complaint.
The woman had her male friend drop her off at a female friend's home in North St. Paul because she was reportedly scared to return home. The next morning the woman's friend drove her home. When they pulled up to her home at about 6 a.m. the woman noticed that her garage door was damaged.
About five minutes after they went into her home Alexander came to the front door and demanded to come into the house. After the woman did not let him in, Alexander kicked in the locked service door of the garage to enter the home, the complaint states.
Alexander allegedly told the woman that he was "going to make your life miserable for a very long time" and called her names, according to the complaint.
The woman told police that Alexander then picked up a glass of water and hit her in the face with the glass. Alexander also allegedly picked up a steel pole and walked toward the woman, according to the complaint.
The complaint says the woman threatend to call the police and Alexander left her residence, stating, "Next time you won't get to call the cops."
The incident was witnessed by the woman's friend who had driven her home. Police observed red marks on the woman's face and found that her garage door was damaged. They also found the glass that Alexander allegedly used to hit the woman as well as a metal pipe on her hallway floor.
Alexander has two prior convictions for domestic violence in addition to four convictions for violating order of protections, according to the complaint.
Alexander is also being charged in Washington County District Court for felony drug possession. A separate complaint states that officers found about half of an ounce of methamphetamine and a smoke pipe in Alexander's vehicle in March 2012. The complaint also adds that Alexander admitted that he owned the meth in an interview with officers.
