Five Guys Burgers and Fries Location Planned in Oakdale

Restaurant to open in Oakdale Village.

A national burger restaurant chain plans to open a location in Oakdale before the year’s end, said a company spokeswoman.

No opening date is currently set, however, Five Guys Burgers and Fries is slated to open a location at 8360 3rd Street North, near Baja Sol Tortilla Grill in Oakdale Village, toward the end of the year, said spokeswoman Mary McLeese.

The restaurant will be owned by a franchisee, she said, and it will be the eighth location in Minnesota.

Other Five Guys restaurants are located in Edina, Maple Grove and Minneapolis, according to the company’s website.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries started in the Washington D.C. metro area in 1986 and franchises across the country began opening in 2003, according to the company website.

Welcome "FGBF". Would like to see a Mexican resturant to replace "Plaza Garibaldi".

How about a bar/restaurant near Target. Also, a grocery store other than Rainbow in Oakdale would be nice. The Oakdale Rainbow is the worst one I have been in. I drive to Cub in Woodbury or if I'm in a hurry, hopefully Target will have what I need.
