Jury Trial Set for Day Care Provider Charged with Locking Children in Backyard Shed
Jennifer Lynn Goldetsky will head to a jury trial in Washington County District Court in October.
Court dates have been set for the Oakdale day care provider who was charged with locking some of her day care children in her backyard shed earlier this year.
Jennifer Lynn Goldetsky 43, was charged in July with two counts of child endangerment and two counts of child neglect after allegedly locking three of her day care children in a backyard shed in February.
According to the complaint, Goldetsky, who is licensed through Washington County, locked 4-year-old twin boys and a 5-year-old boy in her backyard shed after a county licensor made an unexpected visit to check that Goldetsky was following her license regulations.
The complaint states that Goldetsky "panicked" because she had more children at the day car than she was licensed for.
Goldetsky appeared for a hearing on Thursday. The pre-trial hearing has been continued to Oct. 3. Her jury trial is set for Oct. 15.
If found guilty Goldetsky could face one year in prison and pay $3,000 in fines.
