Missing Person, Urination, Burglary: Oakdale Police Blotter

Here is a selection of incidents the Oakdale Police Department responded to from Oct. 2 to Oct. 9.

 

The following is a summary of incidents that occurred in Oakdale between Oct. 2 and Oct. 9 as provided by the Oakdale Police Department.

Oct. 2

  • Police responded to fifth degree assault and disorderly conduct report at Tartan High School. A 17-year-old girl told police that she and her boyfriend were sitting in their truck in the back parking lot when a 16-year-old boy came up to the driver’s window and yelled profanities at the couple.

Oct. 3

  • Police responded to a missing person report on the 4300 block of Hamlet Avenue. An 18-year-old boy was last seen leaving an apartment in Maplewood on Oct. 1 with an unknown male. His family has been unable to make contact with the boy. He has been reported as a missing person with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Police responded to a theft report at Menards. Employees saw a female enter the store, put a railgun in a cart and leave without paying. The woman began running when employees tried to question her. 
  • Police responded to a criminal damage to property report on the 1300 block of Guthrie Avenue. Someone had broken into the complainant’s backyard shed. No items were stolen.

Oct. 4

  • Police responded to a third degree burglary where someone had broken into a residence. The person broke through the sheetrock and took two 37” TVs, an old copper pot, a laptop and a Gucci bag and Fairview bag. The items’ value was $3,150. 

Oct. 8

  • Police responded to a criminal damage to property report at Guardian Angels Church. A 40-year-old man said that someone had urinated on his Jeep and damaged the driver’s side mirror on Oct. 6. The perpetrator shattered the side mirror and scratched the driver’s door and window. The man said his Jeep was parked in the south lot when the damage occurred.

Oct. 9

  • A girl’s $600 cell phone was reported stolen from her gym locker at Skyview.
  • Police responded to a theft report at the 7500 blck of Fifth Street. More than $3,800 worth of private property — including oriental area rugs — was stolen from the home during a three week period.
