National Weather Service: 1 to 3 Inches of Snow Likely by Tuesday Morning

Snow could affect travel Monday evening and early Tuesday morning.

A rain-snow mix is expected to hit the Twin Cities Monday evening, according to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service. The mixture will likely change over to just snow, which is expected to continue falling until Tuesday morning, according to the statement.

Snowfall accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is likely, the statement says.

"The warmer temperatures suggest more of a slushy accumulation on roads or even wet roads when the snow is light," the statement says.
