Oakdale man arrested after fight at local restaurant
Police arrested the suspect on Saturday for causing head injuries to another Oakdale resident.
A 29-year-old Oakdale man was arrested early Saturday morning for causing head injuries to another Oakdale man.
Police received a call about a fight at Demori's Italian Restaurant. When officers arrived they found a 23-year-old Oakdale man lying unconscious outside of the building. The victim was transported to Regions Hospital. He had a broken nose, skull fracture and brain bleed, according to the initial complaint report.
Officers picked up the suspect at Helena Road and Helmo Avenue and arrested him for third-degree assault. The man was booked in Washington County Jail.

Hannah, Is there a rule of thumb you use to decide when to include the arrested person's name in an article? I ask because the name and photo of the arrested priest was listed, but no name was included in this article. I don't think that either approach is wrong. I'm just curious about the decision.

Thanks for the question Chris. It kind of depends on each editor, but some of us Patch editors around here generally try not to list a person's name unless it's a felony or some kind of public figure (like the priest). But there is always an exception to the "rule," so it kind of depends on each case. I hope that answers your question!
