This brave victim is to be commended for speaking up and coming forward about being sexually abused.

We hope that others who have knowledge or may have been harmed by Curtis Carl Wehmeyer, will contact the police, a therapist, or a support group. That is the best way to expose wrongdoing, protect others and start healing. Do not report you abuse to the diocese, they are not the proper officials to be investigating sex crimes against kids.

I, myself was shocked for the day, and mulling over and over in my head how this is bizarre...why is father W guilty in everyone's eyes before being proven innocent? I am not saying the young boy is lying, the facts given do not add up! Father Curtis is a warm, gentle man...it doesn't make sense he would pick one child for two years and that child wouldn't have said anything. Everyone shouldn't be so quick to judgement. Even so, his devotion as a catholic priest is destroyed, at least here in the midwest. He knows the thuth, the boy knows the truth, and God knows the truth.

I agree to the extent that he deserves a trial. However, we have seen many instances of priests abusing children for years before they speak up.
