Woodbury Lakes will host its annual Holiday Open House from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

The event features:

  • reindeer sleigh rides;
  • a live reindeer display;
  • costumed characters;
  • performances by the Okee Dokee Band;
  • activities for kids; and
  • special offers and discounts from participating stores.

Meanwhile, Woodbury resident and children’s author Deborah Larson will read her latest book, One Frozen Lake. Afterward, she’ll be on hand to sign copies.

The evening culminates with WCCO meteorologist Chris Shaffer—a Woodbury resident who recently won a Midwest Emmy—welcoming Santa as he arrives on a fire truck escorted by the Woodbury Fire Department, plus the lighting of Woodbury Lakes’ live 30-foot tree and a fireworks display set to holiday music.

Santa will also greet families and pose for pictures after the fireworks. For more information, visit the Woodbury Lakes website.
