You’re invited to a festive holiday concert to benefit Hope for the Journey Home, the shelter offering transitional housing for homeless families.    Ensemble Aventura will be joined by Larry Neumann to present swinging new arrangements of Christmas favorites. 

The concert, “Star of Wonder”, will be on Sunday, December 16 at 7pm, at Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale.

 Ensemble Aventura is a jazz/world-music ensemble consisting of Monica Stratton (voice & violin), Sarah Bertsch (violin), Roger Stratton (piano), Brian Ogren (bass), and Dave Hanzel (percussion).   Larry Neumann is director of the Century College Jazz Band, and a very accomplished saxophonist and woodwind-doubler.

The concert will last about an hour and will be followed by delectable desserts and radiant refreshments.

 There will be a free-will offering to support Hope for the Journey Home.   You can read more about the shelter here:
