Oakdale Seeks Artists for First-Ever Art Fair at Discovery Center

The city of Oakdale is looking for sculptors, painters and photographers to participate in a first-ever art fair this October at the Discovery Center.

The Discovery Center features the work of an area artist each month, and those people have expressed interest in holding a larger fair, said Debbie Ramsey with the Oakdale Recreation Department.

“The artists are thrilled to have a venue where they can display their work,” she said.

The art fair is planned for Oct. 12-13, assuming there is enough interest, Ramsey said. It is an art fair and not a craft fair, she noted.

There is an entry form within the flyer online that artists may print out to complete and turn in. They are due by Aug. 30. For more information call 651-747-3860.
