Blowing snow could make travel tricky Thursday, as an arctic cold front brings strong winds to the Twin Cities area.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday. Wind gusts could be in the 30 to 40 mph range, and visibility is expected to be limited.
Thursday night wind chill temperatures will near 25 below zero, according to the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen.
Friday also will be cold, with a high near 11. However, the weekend is expected to be warmer, with highs forecast near 21 and 32 Saturday and Sunday.
