The Battle Creek Men’s Club Inaugural Chili Cook-Off Open will be held Oct. 5
at The Ponds at Battle Creek golf course. The three-man scramble is open to all
players, including professionals, and will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Only
one pro player is allowed per team, and all players will play from the same tees.
In addition to the golf tournament, the event will also feature a chili cook-off contest. Players are encouraged to bring one or more slow cookers full of chili to enter into the contest. Cook-off participants will receive a certificate for two 9-hole greens fees with a cart good for the remainder of the 2013 season.
Entry fees for the tournament are $50.00 per player, or $150 per team, and cover green fees, carts, giant skins, prizes and the chili buffet. Participants planning to enter the chili cook-off should note so on their registration form. Online registration is available at www.pondsatbattlecreek.com and www.ramseycountygolf.com.
