Inaugural Chili Cook-Off Open Set for Oct. 5 at The Ponds at Battle Creek

The Battle Creek Men’s Club Inaugural Chili Cook-Off Open will be held Oct. 5 at The Ponds at Battle Creek golf course. The three-man scramble is open to all players, including professionals, and will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Only one pro player is allowed per team, and all players will play from the same tees.

In addition to the golf tournament, the event will also feature a chili cook-off contest. Players are encouraged to bring one or more slow cookers full of chili to enter into the contest. Cook-off participants will receive a certificate for two 9-hole greens fees with a cart good for the remainder of the 2013 season.
