Tartan BPA Students have Success at BPA Region Competition

Tartan’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) had outstanding results at their Regional Conference at Century College on January 9, 2014.  BPA is the national career and technical education student organization for students preparing for careers in the business world.

Overall, 29 of the 31 Tartan BPA members medaled and qualified for the next round of competition – the State Conference in March.  “We had nine first place finishes as well as the Region 2 officers of President and Vice President officiating, so the Tartan BPA presence was clearly felt!” says proud Tartan BPA Chapter Advisor Vicki Kapaun.  Three students had an exceptional day – Matt Duggan qualified in five events and Kang Yang and Feng Thao each qualified in three events.  Seventeen other students qualified in two events.  There were 9 schools and 278 total students competing.
