Five Things You Should Know Today: April 27

Take your pick today: camping at Lake Elmo Park Reserve and St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park or wine and food tasting at Transfiguration Catholic Church.

1. Don't get too used to today's sunny weather. Tonight will bring possible snow showers, according to the National Weather Service. Enjoy our high of 54 while it lasts.

2. Interested in tasting more than 70 wines and brews? Swing by Oakdale Prom Center at 6 p.m. tonight to enjoy their annual event. Last year, hundreds of people attended the event.

3. On this day in 4977 B.C., the universe was created. Or so thought German mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler. Kepler was born in 1571 and was best known as the founder of modern science.

4. Grab your sleeping bag and tent. The campgrounds at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve and St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park in Washington County .
