Get Out in Oakdale

Oakdale's weekend entertainment guide to festivals, fireworks and a bird release.



When: Saturday, Sept. 10 from 12 to 3 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: All are invited to for an afternoon of games, crafts, music and food.
Price: Free to attend




When: Saturday, Sept. 10 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Where:
Why Go: The National Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will take center stage at Oakdale's Amphitheater to discuss process of raising and caring for orphaned animals. After the presentation, a rehabilitated bird will be released into the Oakdale Nature Preserve.
Price: Free




When: Saturday, Sept. 10 from 2:30 to 7:15 p.m.
Where: Elmo Park Reserve (1515 Keats Avenue N, Lake Elmo)
Why Go: Scope out the local and regional Bluegrass talents, including Barley Jacks with Brian Wicklund, Monroe Crossing and the Roe Family Singers
Price: The festival is free with a valid vehicle permit sold for $5 for one day and $25 for one year.




When: Sunday, Sept. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Where: 4443 Hadley Avenue N
Why Go: The Oakdale/Lake Elmo Historical Society invites you to explore the historic one-room school house and enjoy a sundae.
