Oakdale will be buzzing with activities this weekend.

If you want to stay in town, check out some of these events that run on Friday and Saturday. 

Hope for the Holidays - 'A Home Away From Home' — "Hope for the Holidays" is an evening of drama, music and light refreshment and Hope Church. Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $7.

Life gets so busy around Christmas. There’s always more to do but with less time. Managing a family and work is enough, and “to do” lists never seem to get done. In the flurry of activity we can lose focus on what or who is most important to us. Meet Megan Kessler, co-owner of the Kessler Inn. Megan doesn’t miss a thing. In this dramatic story, we see Megan begin to lose her way, but someone goes to great lengths to get her attention and help her to wake up.

Oakdale Indoor Market — The indoor market is back for its second year. More than 30 local vendors will be selling food, jewelry, wooden toys, children's books and vintage home items. It will take place at the Oakdale Discovery Center from 9 a.m. to noon on the following Saturdays: Dec. 22, Jan. 5, Jan. 19, Feb. 2 and Feb. 16.

 — Holiday boutique and wellness fair to benefit the non-profit Charities Challenge at Tenacity Fitness studio from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There will be a variet of vendors including Vault Denim, Dove Chocolate, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Tupperware, Shakeology, Juice+, Rustic Pies of Stillwater and baked goods, jewelry, massage, healing touch, special sale on fitness packages. High quality garage sale items such as a drum set, nearly new children's toys, books, fashion, fitness and outdoor equipment, bikes, outdoor equipment and furniture. All donations are tax deductible to benefit Charities Challenge whose mission is to promote exercise for all abilities to prevent and treat chronic disease.

Holiday Cookie Sale — Silver Lake Church will be hosting its Holiday Cookie Sale from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, according to the City of Oakdale Facebook page
