Marcus Theatres will be hosting an all-new Best Picture Series Oscar showcase featuring the Academy Award Best Picture nominees at select theaters — including Oakdale.

Guests can see all nine Best Picture nominees during the two-day series on Feb. 16 and 17. This year’s Best Picture nominees include: "Amour," "Argo," "Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Django Unchained," "Les Misérables," "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty."

"Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Amour," "Les Misérables," "Argo" and "Django Unchained" will run on Saturday, Feb. 16, for $30, while "Life of Pi," "Lincoln," "Silver Linings Playbook" and "Zero Dark Thirty" will run on Sunday, Feb. 17, for $25.

“We are proud to present the year’s Best Picture nominees in celebration of Hollywood’s biggest night,” said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus Theatres. “Whether you’ve seen these titles before, or are just taking them in for the first time, this is a great opportunity to see the best movies of 2012 before the Oscars are awarded on February 24.”

Guests can purchase a package ticket price for $50 to see all films Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are available at the box office at select theatres showing the Best Picture Series. Individual feature tickets are available at regular admission prices.
