Labor Day Weather Forecast for Oakdale

The last weekend of summer before school starts has mostly sun in the forecast in the Oakdale area, according to the National Weather Service.

Here is a quick look at what the forecast has in store for the community during the 2013 Labor Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday, Aug. 31

The high is expected to reach 88 degrees under mostly sunny skies. There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during overnight hours. A low of around 68 Saturday night.

Sunday, Sept. 1

There is a 30 percent chance of storms before 7 a.m., but it should give way to mostly sunny skies, with a high forecast near 78 degrees. Wind gusts could be up to 25 miles per hour. Overnight low of around 56 degrees.

Monday, Sept. 2

Sunny with a high near 73 degrees, winds 5-15 miles per hour. An overnight low around 53 degrees.

For the first day of school on Tuesday, Sept. 3, it should be sunny with a high near 79.

DWI Enforcement

A statewide DWI enforcement crackdown continues through Labor Day.

“Impaired driving is a constant and scary factor that plagues our roads,” says Donna Berger, Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety director. “But the problem can be addressed and the tragedies prevented if we all make the effort to take responsibility and make smart decisions.”
