New Oakdale Business: Impression Signs and Graphics

The company does design work in addition to manufacturing the signs and banners and wraps for businesses and organizations.

It was a banner day Thursday for Impression Signs and Graphics as dozens of people came out for a ribbon cutting for the new Oakdale business.

The company creates signs, banners, vehicle and window wraps, door decorations, campaign signs and more.

"Commercial signs of all types," said Eric Gustafson, owner.

Impression Signs and Graphics also provides design work and manufactures the items at its Oakdale location.

Typical customers are small- to medium-sized businesses, along with schools, churches and groups, Gustafson said.

After years in the corporate world, Gustafson, a CPA, opened Impression Signs and Graphics in July. He said he had always wanted to run his own business.

“Surprisingly enough to me, the sign business turned out to be a good fit. And I’m loving it,” Gustafson said.

The Woodbury Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sept. 26, held the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the business, with Oakdale Mayor Carmen Sarrack on hand to welcome Impression Signs and Graphics to the city.

In addition to Gustafson, the company has one full-time employee and one part-time worker. It’s located in a business park at 680 Hale Ave. N., suite 250.
