New Service Provider for Adults With Disabilities to Open in Oakdale

Midwest Special Services plans to open at 3400 Granada Ave. N., suite 190, later this month.

Midwest Special Services, a provider of services for adults with disabilities, plans to open its newest facility in Oakdale on July 22.

The Oakdale location will mark the sixth in Minnesota for Midwest Special Services (MMS).

“This is our first center in Washington County and we couldn’t be more excited to offer our services to the East Metro community,” Lyth Hartz, president of MSS, said in a release. “We hope to build a positive relationship with Washington County through the highest quality of professional and personal care.”

The Oakdale facility, which will offer “day training” and “habilitation” programs, will open at 3400 Granada Ave. N., suite 190.

The Oakdale Center’s programs include work, training and recreational opportunities, along with job training facilitated by eTrac, an online vocational training program developed by MSS. Clients will also be able to create and sell artwork.

“The Oakdale Center will showcase the best that MSS has to offer,” Michelle Dickerson, vice president of MSS program services, said in the release. “Our professionally trained staff and creative programming will strive to stay one step ahead of expectations.”
