Oakdale’s Dreamcoat Coffee to Close

The coffee shop, which operates jointly with a Salvation Army Center, will soon be shuttered.

A post on the Dreamcoat Coffee Facebook page says it will close its doors at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 20.

It has been our privilege to be apart of your community and daily lives. Blessings!

Managers at Dreamcoat Coffee confirmed the news to Patch. Management was unavailable for comment Friday, and workers there declined to speak on the record when Patch stopped in on a few occasions over the past couple of weeks.

Dreamcoat Coffee was conceived in late 2010 as a unique new endeavor for the Salvation Army, which opened the coffee shop/boutique. It was the first for the organization.

In September 2012, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar featured breakfast pastries from Dreamcoat Coffee in Oakdale at her weekly “Minnesota Morning” gathering in Washington, D.C.
