Two New Stores, One New Restaurant Coming to Woodbury Lakes

The shopping center announced the upcoming openings on Thursday.

Woodbury Lakes on Thursday announced that three new stores will be opening there in the coming months.

“We’re really excited about it,” said Laurie Mordorski, marketing director at Woodbury Lakes.

Osaka Seafood and Steakhouse

Osaka Seafood and Steakhouse is set to open its sixth Twin Cities location at Woodbury Lakes in January 2013.

The restaurant, according to its website, offers:

  • Authentic Japanese Cuisine
  • Full bar (Japanese beer)/wine list
  • Sushi bar
  • Several hibachi grills
  • Children's menu
  • Carryout

Osaka will move into the space formerly occupied by Kenichi Japanese and Sushi. Kenichi is still open but will be closing soon, Mordorski said.

Osaka will also feature some patio space and will be expanding, as well.

Crazy 8

Crazy 8 will open at Woodbury Lakes in January 2013.

Set to go in between Gap and the Sleep Number Store, Crazy 8 is part of the Gymboree Corporation’s family of brands and offers outfits for girls and boys (sizes 0 to 14).

The first Crazy 8 store opened in August 2007, the release says, and The Gymboree Corporation currently operates more than 220 Crazy 8 stores in the U.S.

Knox Jewelers

Currently located on Lyndale Avenue in south Minneapolis, Knox Jewelers will open its second Twin Cities store at Woodbury Lakes in late 2012 or early 2013.

The jewelry store is going in next to Victoria's Secret, Mordorski said.
