Ash Wednesday Services, Foreclosure Prevention Workshop Today
Five things you should know today, Wednesday, Feb. 22
1. There’s a 20 percent chance of rain and snow after noon today, according to the National Weather Service forecast. It’ll be partly sunny with a high near 40, the forecast says.
2. A number of local churches have Ash Wednesday services today. Grace of God Evangelical Lutheran Church and House of Prayer Lutheran Church have services at 7 p.m. Guardian Angels Catholic Church has services at 6:45 a.m., noon and 7 p.m. and Transfiguration Catholic Church has services at 8 a.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
3. There’s a foreclosure prevention workshop at 4 p.m. tonight at the Oakdale library.

4. The Girl Scouts recognize Feb. 22 as World Thinking Day, a day to honor scouts in other countries by participating in projects and activities with global themes. This year’s theme is “We can save our planet.”
5. Actor Kyle MacLachlan, who has appeared in Desperate Housewives and Sex and The City, in addition to many other television shows and movies, turns 53 today. He was named one of People Magazine’s "Sexiest Men Alive" in 2006, in their “Sexy Men With Glasses” section, according to TV.com.
