Couples event planned at Oak Marsh; historical society gets historic toaster

Oak Marsh Golf Club is holding an event for couples tomorrow evening called “Up Norte” night. The evening includes nine holes of golf, a cart, dinner and prizes, including a prize for the best dressed, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a price of $95. Call 651-730-8886, extension 3, to reserve a spot.

The Washington County Historical Society was given an historic toaster, the Pioneer Press reports. Charles Strite is said to have invented the pop-up toaster in Stillwater, according to the report.
Washington County wants your views on recycling, according to a press release. The county is updating its waste management plan, and it’s looking for feedback from residents and businesses about barriers to recycling and opportunities to increase recycling.
