Five Things You Should Know Today: June 9

It's the last day of school for District 622 students.

1. Sounds like it’s going to be a nice day today—mostly sunny with a high near 67, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
2. It’s the last day of school for District 622 students. We wish all the students a great last day of school with your friends, and a safe summer that’s exciting, relaxing, productive or all of the above!
3. Rep. Nora Slawik and Sen. Chuck Wiger, both Maplewood DFLers who represent Oakdale in the Minnesota Legislature, will be speaking along with other elected officials to the Oakdale Business and Professional Association starting at 7 a.m. this morning at for their annual Eggs N’ Issues Breakfast.
4. We had photographers out at graduation and all-night party last night. Look for photos on the site soon (if they’re not up already).
5. Guest editor will be helping out with the Oakdale Patch website for the week. She’s a former reporter at the Fargo Forum, the Argus Leader and the St. Paul Capitol Report/Politics in Minnesota.
