Five Things You Should Know Today: September 13

  1. Today the weather will be mostly sunny with a high near 71, according to the National Weather Service.
  2. The Oakdale City Council is taking a tour tonight to recognize the city’s Acorn Award winners. The Acorn Awards go to property owners who have made efforts to beautify their home, business or organization.
  3. Oakdale’s big trucks from the public safety and public works departments will be out in Walton Park from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight for kids to walk through and check out.
  4. If you’re looking to stretch your grocery dollars a little bit farther, the Fare for All Express will be out at from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
  5. Families living with Autism is holding an open house tonight at Woodbury/Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church. The group’s goal is to bring families together to exchange information and support one another.
