Free Legal Workshop on Wills, Special School Board Meeting Today

1. Today's weather will be sunny with a high near 48, according to the National Weather Service Forecast. Let's enjoy it while it lasts!

2. The District 622 School Board is holding a special meeting today at 5 p.m. to approve its annual organizational resolutions, which include meeting dates and times for the year.

3. Is drafting a will one of your New Year’s resolutions? Washington County is offering a free legal workshop on wills and power of attorney at 6 p.m. today at the R.H. Stafford Branch Library in Woodbury.

4. January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. The Twin Cities area ranks 13th in the nation for prevalence of human trafficking, according to  Minnesota Human Trafficking Watch.

5. Former heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist George Foreman turns 63 today. More than 100 million George Foreman Grills have been sold worldwide since Salton developed the product in 1994, according to the company’s website. To put that into perspective, 100 million is about one-third of the population of the United States.
