The National Weather Service is warning that freezing temperatures are highly likely overnight on both Monday and Tuesday, putting some plants at risk.

The National Weather Service is warning that temperatures will likely fall below freezing overnight Tuesday in the Twin Cities metro area, including Washington County.

Freezing temperatures are highly likely between 1 and 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the weather service warning.

The conditions could kill sensitive plants, the warning says.

“Tender, young vegetation will be most at risk,” according to the warning, “although fruit trees may also suffer some impacts.”
