Halloween Adventure and Turkey Dinner Today

2. Century College planning a Halloween adventure featuring characters along a trail on the college’s west campus. The cost is $2.

3. All this talk of Thanksgiving has us hungry for turkey. Thankfully, Woodbury/Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church is holding its annual turkey dinner. Tickets are $11 for adults and proceeds go to the United Methodist Church’s global campaign to eradicate malaria.

5. On this day in 1849, the territorial legislature created the original nine counties of Minnesota, according to the Minnesota Historical Society. Washington County is among the six original counties that still exist.
