Meeting on Biomonitoring Study, Blue Christmas Service Tonight

Five things you should know today, Monday, December 12

1. There will be drizzle today, mainly before noon, and it will be cloudy with a high near 35, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

2. King of Kings Lutheran Church in Woodbury is holding a Blue Christmas service at 7 p.m. tonight to acknowledge struggle and loss as well as peace, hope and joy.

3. The Minnesota Department of Health is planning a meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at to discuss the findings of a biomonitoring project that tested the blood of Oakdale residents over multiple years for the presence of perfluorochemicals—3M-produced chemicals found in drinking water.

4. Oakdale’s Volunteer of the Year will be named this evening. Who do you think it will be?
