MnDOT Announces Lane Closures for I-94

The work is set to begin May 1.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Wednesday announced that short-term lane closures along Interstate 94 will begin May 1.

The left lane in both directions of the freeway will be closed between Highway 120 and the 694/494 interchange starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 1.

The lanes are expected to reopen in mid-May.

During the closures, crews will install structures for an overhead bridge to support a new electronic traffic sign for westbound traffic, according to the release.

MnDOT advises motorists to plan alternate routes and allow extra time for travel. People can also check www.511mn.org for real-time traffic information.
