No Mail, Libraries and Government Offices Closed Today
Five things you should know today, Monday, Dec. 26
1. It'll be mostly sunny with a high near 46 today, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Wind gusts could get up to 29 mph, the forecast says.
2. Due to Christmas falling on a Sunday this year, most government offices, including Oakdale city offices and Washington County offices are closed today. Washington County libraries are also closed today.
3. There is no mail delivery today due to the holiday.

4. The Washington County Library is continuing the One County, One Book program in 2012 with “The Reading Promise: My Father and the Books We Shared” by Alice Ozma. There are a number of ways to get involved with the program, check the Washington County website for more details.
5. Boxing Day is being observed today in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Great Britain, among other countries. According to Wikipedia, the day is centered around shopping—much like the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S. It’s also a day for fox hunting and other sports.
