- Oakdale City Council members disagreed on whether they favored allowing another pawnshop in town at their workshop meeting Tuesday. The council placed a moratorium on new pawnshops to study the issue in February after receiving an application to open a new pawnshop on the site of a former gas station at the northeast corner of the Highway 36 and Century Avenue intersection.
