District 622 will seek an operating levy renewal this fall. An open house on Gateway Corridor transit options takes place Tuesday.

- School District 622 will seek renewal of a $10 million operating levy this fall, but will not try to increase the levy amount, the School Board decided Tuesday.
- Installation of a new picnic shelter at Oakdale Nature Preserve is under way.
- Oakdale’s state legislators said cuts were too deep in the majority of the budget bills passed by the Minnesota Legislature in a special session last week.
- Rep. Nora Slawik said she voted no on most of the budget bills passed in a special session last week in a video interview with Oakdale Patch.
- With less of a budget cut from the state than expected, Metro Transit won’t have to cut any bus routes—except those it would cut normally each quarter due to low ridership.
- Parents of kids in Tartan’s Black Student Union said they were concerned about the future of the program after hearing that Activities Director Adrian Moore’s contract might not be renewed this fall, the Oakdale-Lake Elmo Review reported.
- Oakdale’s legislators were divided on whether they would support a law that would prevent a future state government shutdown.
- Area residents are being asked to weigh in on the eight options for transit along the Gateway Corridor (along I-94) at an open house Tuesday at Woodbury City Hall.
