Community Corner

2nd Annual Great Turkey Give Away

On November 8th, 2012 Pastor
Richard White of Gethsemane Faith Community in Maplewood posed the question, “Why
can’t we give away 1,000 turkeys for Christmas?” That question created a vision
that ignited the hope of the congregation and community.  In December of 2012 that hope  turned into over 700 turkeys given and a
whole community coming together to meet this need. Local businesses and even
corporate companies came together to feed families for Christmas. On December
22nd, 2013 at 12 noon the Gethsemane Community will be handing out the turkeys
to all who come.
