From Washington County to Sochi Olympics: Mimi Wiencke's GoFundMe Campaign

She's raising money to take her snowboarding talents to the Winter Olympics.

Another $100 came into Mimi Wiencke's GoFundMe campaign Tuesday—getting her $9,350 toward her goal of $10,000 so she can compete as a snowboarder at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia

Here's how Wiencke introduced her GoFundMe campaign last summer:

"Hi, my name is Madeline (Mimi) Wiencke. I am currently the number one ranked female snowboard racer in the country, a full time US World Cup athlete, and the current front runner to qualify for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia in the women's snowboard events of Parallel Giant Slalom (PGS) and Parallel Slalom (PSL). Without any financial support from my government or national organization, I have had to work very hard to get to where I am today, and there is still a lot of work ahead of me if I hope to qualify for a trip to Sochi next winter!"
