Shout Out to Eagle Point Elementary Teachers and Staff — You Are Great!
Shout out of Thank you to Eagle Point Elementary in Oakdale MN. Grandma Rosie Fun Run Event - Thank you!
Last Saturday the teachers and staff of Eagle Point helped with what has now become an annual event the Grandma Rosie Read Read Read Run — fun run for the children, families and staff of Eagle Point.
The purpose of the event is to help promote the importance of exercise and reading.
Grandma Rosie Eberhard has been reading and volunteering for the children of this school for over 20 years and she routinely encourages the children to turn off those TV's, Xboxes, I-pads, cell phones, and other gadgets and get exercising and reading. Her motto has been "Read Read Read!" and the children of Eagle Point - embrace her motto.

The teachers masterminded this idea about 5 years ago and now it has become a fun family event that helps raise proceeds for the school's phy-ed equipment fund and involves having a book swap that morning for the kids to partake in as well.
A great time was had by all this past Saturday and I want to thank the people who made it happen!
