Police say the informant met with Gangi on June 15 at a residence along Chloe Lane in Eagan, where Gangi was completing some work. At that time, Gangi allegedly sold 3.57 grams of cocaine to the information for $200, according to police.

Six days later, on June 21, police say the informant again contacted Gangi and arranged for another cocaine purchase in a parking lot in West. St. Paul. There, police say Gangi sold the informant 3 grams of cocaine for $200 in another controlled buy.

Police say the controlled sales continued for several months, with the informant buying 2.1 grams of cocaine from Gangi for $200 on July 3 in West. St. Paul, and 1.69 grams for $200 at a deal in Cottage Grove.

At the last meeting in Cottage Grove, agents working with the Dakota County Drug Task Force, arrested Gangi following the controlled buy. During the arrest, police found another baggie full of white powder in Gangi's vehicle. The baggie later tested positive for 1.03 grams of cocaine, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Dakota County Attorney's Office.

During an interview following the arrest, police say Gangi admitted to agents that the informant had called him for some "coke" and that he sells cocaine so that he can also get it for himself. Gangi allegedly told police he remembered all four controlled buys to the informant, and said he sells cocaine once every couple of weeks.

Gangi posted bail and was released from the Dakota County Jail, according to county officials. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 8.
