Complaint: Drugs Suspect Pulled Over in Stolen Car

Anthony Derell Perry, 28, of Minneapolis, is being charged with fifth-degree drug possession.

A Minneapolis man made his first appearance in Washington County District Court last week on a fifth-degree drug possession charge.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Aug. 7 an Oakdale Police Officer was driving on the southbound rampe of I-694 from 10th Street in Oakdale when the officer performed a routine registration check on the vehicle in front of the officer.

The registration check revealed that the car was reported stolen. The officer pulled the vehicle over near the Sun Ray Shopping Center.

Anthony Derell Perry, 28, was arrested and booked in Washington County Jail. At the jail, officers found a plastic baggie filled with a white substance. The substance tested positive for cocaine. The baggie weighed 1 gram.

Perry has a previous fifth-degree controlled substance conviction from October 2010.
