Indecent Exposure, 'Meth House,' Fatal Fight?: Oakdale Police Blotter

The following is a summary of incidents that occurred in Oakdale between Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 as provided by the Oakdale Police Department.

Nov. 8

• Police responded to a report of domestic abuse on the 3800 block of Granada Lane. A woman said her boyfriend choked her for almost a minute and punched her more than four times before leaving the area. Police located the man and booked him at Washington County Jail.
• Police responded to a report of indecent exposure on the 2600 block of Greystone Avenue. The complainant said her 6-year-old son had reported that the woman’s male roommate had walked naked from the bathroom to his bedroom in plain view up to four times within the year. The woman said there was no physical contact, but she wanted to document the incidents since the man was becoming verbally aggressive.

Nov. 9

• Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on the 64—block of Upper 56th Street. The complainant said the tenants at the building use methamphetamine and many vehicles frequent the “meth house.” The complainant reported that he’s frustrated with all of the illegal activity in the area.
• Police responded to a report of counterfeit cash used at the 1200 block of Gentry Avenue. The complainant said he delivered pizza to the residence and was paid with a counterfeit $20 bill. Police contacted the residence and one of the residents gave police a real $20 bill to cover the pizza. The resident said the man who had paid for the pizza is a friend of a friend. The counterfeit bill was placed into evidence.

Nov. 10

• A woman on the 4100 block of Gershwin Avenue reported that her boyfriend pushed her to the floor by the throat and punched her three times in the face. Police responded to the incidence and saw visible signs of injury on the woman. The suspect was arrested and booked in Washington County Jail for domestic assault. The case is pending a formal complaint.
• An employee at the Super America gas station called police regarding a suspicious male who walked into the building with a swollen eye and bloody lacerations on his head. The employee said that the man told her was in a fight and had “killed” someone. Officers checked the area but did not find the male. 

Nov. 12

• A woman reported that her son went missing after he left for a walk on Nov. 11. The woman said that the 25-year-old man had not returned and that it was out of character for him not to return. Police spoke with the man’s employer who said that the man had not shown up for work that night or the following day.

Nov. 14

• Police responded to a theft report on the 4000 block of Granada Avenue. Someone broke into a vehicle and took a hammer drill, a cordless drill, a tool pipe freezer and a Freon detector. The items stolen were valued at $3,300. 

Nov. 15

• A woman went to the Oakdale Police Station to report a verbal domestic she had with a 33-year-old man of Oakdale. The woman said the man threatened to “bash her face in” and was punching the vehicle’s dashboard while she was driving. When the woman arrived to their destination she said that the man got out of the vehicle and punched out the rear windshield, causing more than $350 in damages.
