Man Sentenced for Cocaine Possession in Oakdale

Ryan Lee Desmidt was found guilty of fifth degree drug possession.

A man was found guilty of fifth degree drug possession after Oakdale police found cocaine in his home.

Ryan Lee Desmidt, 25, was sentenced in Washington County District Court last week.

Police were called to the 3600 block of Gershwin Lane. Upon arrival the police made contact with Desmidt, who told police that there was cocaine in the bathroom. 

Desmidt showed police a red plate with cocaine on it in teh bathroom. Desmidt told officers that he brought the cocaine into the house that day and that he took it from another man.  Desmidt said he took about 2 1/2 grams of cocaine, but threw most of it out when police arrived.

Desmidt also admitted that he tasted the cocaine. 

The court stayed Desmidt's sentence and placed him on five years of probation.
