Marijuana, Kmart Theft, Stolen Vehicle: Oakdale Police Blotter

Here is a selection of incidents that the Oakdale Police Department responded to between Aug. 14 and Aug. 15.

The following is a summary of some of the incidents that occurred in Oakdale between Aug. 14 and Aug. 15 as provided by the Oakdale Police Department.

Aug. 14

  • Police pulled over a vehicle on the 6500 block of 10th Street for driving without headlights on and discovered the driver and passenger had 14 grams of marijuana, a scale, glass pipe and grinder.
  • A Kmart employee reported a shoplifter who tried leaving the store with $54.70 worth of merchandise, including a pocket knife sharpener, a pocket scale, glow sticks, sun glasses and a dog brush. 
  • Police recovered a stolen vehicle on the 6000 block of Upper 51st Street. The vehicle was reported stolen by the St. Paul Police Department. There are no suspects.
  • Police cited and arrested a 21-year-old male on the 6900 block of Upper 35th Street for trying to sell magazines without a permit. The suspect was also reportedly soliciting magazines on the 7100 block of 43rd Street.
  • Police cited a 25-year-old male for trying to sell magazines without a permit. 

Aug. 15

  • A woman on the 1100 block of Grospoint Avenue reported an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle and stole $10 of loose change and four packs of cigarettes. There are no known suspects.
  • Police responded to a report on tampering with a motorvehicle between Aug. 14 and Aug. 15 on the 1100 block of Grospoint Avenue. Nothing was reported missing.
