MnDOT Worker Hit by Car on I-94, Oakdale Man Arrested

The crash happened on Interstate 94 at 42nd Avenue in Minneapolis at about 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.

An Oakdale man has been arrested after a Minnesota Department of Transportation worker was struck by a vehicle along Interstate 94 Sunday night.

Jared A. Magnuson, 24, was arrested for having an open bottle in the car, careless driving, giving false information to police, and not having a driver’s license or insurance, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The incident happened on I-94 at 42nd Avenue in Minneapolis at about 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.

The MnDOT employee, identified as 61-year-old Kenneth Moreau of Faribault, was clearing debris from the roadway when he was hit. He was transported to the North Memorial Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Magnuson was not hurt.
