Semitrailer Accident Shuts Down Northbound Interstate 694 in Oakdale
No injuries were reported. The interstate re-opened around 12:25 p.m.
Northbound Interstate 694 traffic around Highway 5 had to be diverted for about an hour Friday due to a semitrailer accident that stretched across both lanes of the highway.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported at 11:39 a.m. Friday that northbound Interstate 694 was closed down at Highway 5 due to a jackknifed semitrailer.
No injuries were reported, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Pioneer Press reports that the incident began at about 11:20 a.m. It was snowing at the time.
The road was re-opened at about 12:25 p.m.

A number of crashes have been reported in the area.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation:
- There was a crash on Interstate 494 in Woodbury between Tamarack Road and Valley Creek Road around 11:46 a.m.
- There was another crash on Interstate 494 in Woodbury between Lake Road and Bailey Road, also around 11:46 a.m.
- A crash was reported at 12:31 p.m. on Interstate 694 between Tenth Street and Interstate 94.
