Oakdale Man Allegedly Threatens to Kill Wife, Bury Her in Backyard

Police arrested a 43-year-old man after his wife claimed he threatened to kill her.

An Oakdale man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted his wife and threatened to kill her. 

According to the initial complaint, the Oakdale Police Department was dispatched to the 4000 block of Hadley Avenue on a physical domestic assault report. 

The complainant said that his neighbor came to his house claiming that her husband had assaulted her.

The 35-year-old woman reported that her husband grabbed and squeezed her arm and pulled her to the ground by her hair. The woman said that her husband told her he was going to kill her and "bury her in the backyard or throw her in the pond" behind their residence. 

The woman said that her husband broke her phone when she tried to call 911. The woman had some bruising and told police that she was afraid for her safety.

The man was arrested and booked in Washington County Jail pending a formal complaint. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
