Oakdale Man Pleads Guilty to Distribution of Child Pornography
Brian G. Montgomery pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of distributing an image containing child pornography.
An Oakdale man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to distributing an image containing child pornography, according to a press release.
Brian G. Montgomery, 51, pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Montgomery was indicted Aug. 17, according to the release.

He admitted that on Feb. 23, he used his computer to distribute a sexually explicit image of a minor, the release says.
He faces a mandatory minimum penalty of five years, and a potential maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, according to the release.

The Minnesota Cyber Crimes Task Force, which is sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Secret Service, investigated the case.
