In other reports, counterfeit money passed at bank, hit-and-run causes $500 damage to vehicle.

A 20-year-old man from Maplewood drove off the road, hit a retaining wall, struck a car parked in a driveway and then rolled over into the yard of a home in the 4500 block of Geneva Avenue on Monday, Dec. 26, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.

There were no injuries, and the driver did not have alcohol in his system, the report says. It appeared that the driver received a text message close to the time of the accident, according to the report. The driver said he wasn’t on his phone, but couldn’t account for why he drove off the road, the report says.
